The progressive introduction of the principles inspired by the Industry 4.0 paradigm and the increase of mechanical companies operating in Europe require an innovation of the training paths – already existing – within the VET of the mechanical sector. 

These renewals can only take place through a process of updating and revising staff competences about the so-called “Skill 4.0.”

The European Project My Skills 4.0 was born in this context with the aim of supporting the Lombardy VET system in the mechanical field in the updating of its training offers in view of 4.0.

ECOLE plays the role of lead partner of the Italian Consortium of VET and ITS institutions of Lombardy, to organize a mobility experience in the Basque Country, addressed to 25 teachers of the sector, so that they can increase their knowledge on Industry 4.0, and in particular in terms of new skills required by mechanical companies.

The mobility will be carried out at the Spanish project partner POLITEKNIKA TXORIERRI, located in the Bilbao area.

The designed path includes visits to VET schools highly specialized in the mechanical sector, to which it would be of great added value to associate visits to mechanical companies, also in the area of Bilbao, specialized in the same sector.
